| Lineup to Come Into the Eyeglass Clinic |
When our volunteers travel to Haiti, one of the favourite activities that they participate in is our Eyeglass Clinic that we offer to the residents of L'Estere. At this clinic, local rural Haitians have the opportunity to try on dozens of eyeglasses (that have been donated and brought to Haiti by our volunteers) to find a pair that provides clear eyesight. Most Haitians do not have access to any optometry services nor could they afford glasses even if the opportunity to visit an optometrist were available. The most rewarding part of our volunteer trip has often been reported as seeing the look on a face when someone experiences the joy of clear vision for the first time EVER!!
